Searchable Q & A

Welcome to our Q & A database for Biology C2005/C2006! It contains student Q & A from as far back as 1997, with each question assigned a number of course-relevant keywords to improve searchability. Keyword searches will also suggest related keywords to (hopefully) help you make sense of interrelated material. You may make multiple selections in the "Year" and "Exam" selection boxes by holding down CTRL and clicking. Also, a keyword search for "problem book" on a given exam/year will yield all Q & A specifically related to assigned problems.

Please report errors and suggestions to Evan (erh2103@columbia.edu). Please, let us know if you find this helpful.

(2009-09-24): 1859. Regarding weak bonds between non-polar amino acids in the "loops," you mentioned that hydrophobic force are created by the repulsion of the water molecules, and not necessarily a bond?  (exam 1)

(2009-09-24): 1860. Just to clarify, is an ion-dipole interaction also a polar interaction? One of my TAs said this, but I wanted to make this clear.  (exam 1)
